Nice morning run in Idaho Falls at 5:15 am with Lauren. Fun to chat and catch up and run together again. No watches. Approximately 5.5 miles.

Headed up Shadow Valley to Skyline Drive, down the big hill, around the school and back home. Still feeling pretty worn out from our trip, and my legs felt so heavy. Hopefully catch up on some rest and get back to feeling great.

Headed to Beus Trailhead to run on the trails. Hiked/ran the first couple miles, then enjoyed some nice trail running. Great morning.

Headed out pipe to Cameron's 'end of pipe' and back. Picked up the double stroller and girls at the school so Cam could head out on his run. Pace dropped from there, but felt great about getting some good miles in. Enjoyed feeding the ducks and playing at the park before heading home. (7:36, 7:31, 7:45, 7:33, 7:50, 7:39, 8:19, 10:19, 8:41(last .19))

First interval workout in years. Decided to head to Beus Pond to break up the monotony of doing distance runs every day. 2 mile warmup (8:23 pace, 16:46). 12x400 meters with 200 meter jog in between each one. Took short breaks after #6 and #10. 

Times: 1:30, 1:30, 1:30, 1:30, 1:30, 1:31, 1:29, 1:32, 1:30, 1:31, 1:29, 1:32

 Felt very consistent considering it has been so long. Didn't worry about how long the 200s took, just tried to keep moving and keep my heart rate up and preparing for the next 400.

Double stroller day. Headed around Sinclair loop but added some on by going across 89 and running in the neighborhoods, and then going down to the South Ogden Nature Park for a loop. Let the girls get out and play at the splash pad and park before heading back home. Fun morning.

Wanted to get a long run in before the half marathon next Saturday. Got up and started running at 6:23 am. Nice cool morning for the most part. Headed out through the school and to the end of Pipe. Had some stomach issues and had to stop for a bathroom break at least twice. Second half of the run felt good, but not too fast. At least I got the miles in. Need to drink more so that I don't get as dehydrated.

Great run this morning. Started off slow, but felt relaxed and good once I picked it up. Haven't had a good run like this in a while. Not too many miles, but it got my confidence up.

To the stadium, up and around towards Beus pond, and then turned around and came back the way I went out. Double stroller run. Got some good hills in with the stroller, although they didn't help my pace.

Top of Utah Half Marathon today! I can't remember the last time I ran a half marathon! I wanted to run around 1:30, but then looked up that that would be sub 7 minute pace, so I wasn't sure I could do it. But it was something to aim for. Felt like I got a small stomach bug the past few days, and it took a few miles to shake that out, but overall I was very pleased with how my race went. I think I never realized how good of shape I was in when I competed in college, and how much work I put in to get there. But I am slowly making my way back and trying not to compare too much. 

 

I averaged 6:53 per mile for the 13.1 mile race and ran just over 1:30.  Had to stop at the port-a-pottie at mile 3, and mile 11-12 killed me because it was the only hill on the course, and even though it was small, it mentally drained me and I ran a 7:40 split.

Overall, happy with the race. My only regret is that I let 2 girls pass me in the last mile. One with a mile to go and one at the sprint for the finish.

 Second in my age group. Waiting for race results to see my race overall place. 1.5 mile warmup, 1.5 mile cooldown.

Run with Sariah at 6:20. Crazy that someone that had a baby 5 weeks ago is in better shape than me! Out towards Weber State, out on Pipe, back by Mount Ogden Park and back home.
