20 mile run today. Legs felt sore from mile 1. I kept thinking they would loosen up but they never did and it made for a challenging run. At least no stomach issues today though. I was ready to call it quits at mile 12. I drank my stashed gatorade and decided I would just run the 4 miles back home and call it good at 16. But mentally I couldn't let myself do it. The gatorade gave me an extra boost and I was able to power through and the last 8 miles were probably my best 8. Next week I am going to have a gu packet on hand. I was starving when I got home and made my family jump in the car and take me to breakfast.
2:41:38 overall time, 8:04 average pace. I am definitely feeling this run today, and probably will for a few days to come.
