I made it all 22 miles! 2:54:07 overall time, 7:55 average pace. I think the first 8 miles I averaged closer to 9 minute pace (mainly uphill miles). It was dark today and I don't know why it was so slow. But then I picked it up the next 10 miles and my slowest mile of those 10 was a 7:15. Actually all but the last mile was under 8 minute pace. So I am feeling good about the run overall. Took about 3 bathroom breaks. Hopefully with a taper I can get my second sub 3:00 marathon. I felt really good except my legs started getting pretty sore from miles 20-22.

Thought about all the St George runners today! Wish I could have run with all of them. And for some reason I can't quite hit that 70 mile week (unless I add up my little hikes and walks with the girls!)

Another long run today. This was probably my best long run. I only took 2 quick bathroom stops and I kept getting faster and faster. Once again, first 7.5 miles were slightly uphill and I averaged 8:33 pace, which was a lot faster than last week. I decided to listen to music today and although I don't think I could do it every time, it was a nice change today and helped the run go a lot faster. Miles 10-20 were all under 7:30 pace with 7 of those miles near or under 7 minute pace. Considering the hills at the start and the last 1.5 miles, I am super excited about this run today.

2:33:19 overall time, 7:40 average pace.

6 miles easy around San Diego. Accidentally found the biggest hill I could possibly run up! 47:58 overall time, 8 min pace

San Diego zoo. Big zoo and lots of walking. Going to count my usual 3 for it. Pushing double stiller up huge hills and up and down. My legs were so tired by the end of the day! .

18 mile run around San Diego. First few miles were frustrating cause it was dark and I was running in circles trying to find the parkway I knew was close. Gave up on that idea and just started running in the direction I thought would lead me to the ocean. At mile 4 I finally found the parkway and ran 3.5 more miles to the ocean. Ran back to the hotel and got there at mile 15. Checked in with Cam, drank some Gatorade, and changed into some dry clothes (no rain, just super humid/misty/marine layer). Finished with a hilly 3 mile loop that dragged on! Glad I got in all my miles on vacation and most of it got done before my kids woke up. Not my fastest, but a good long run.

2:23:29 overall time, 7:58 pace.

2 mile warmup. 8 mile tempo at 6:40 pace on treadmill.  I had to decided to cut the tempo short or cooldown short so I opted for cooldown. Jogged Aubrey to school pushing double stroller to cool down. 1.5 mile cool down total. Good workout. I thought 8 miles seemed so long but I just kept running until I had to get the kids up and was able to get it all in.

10 miles on treadmill total (2 warmup, 8 tempo) on Berlin Marathon course. 1:09:12 overall time, 6:55 overall pace.

2 mile warmup. Was planning on 3x2mile @ 6:31 pace, after running 1 mile at 6:30, I decided it would be better to just slow down and take an easy day. Burnout is hitting me hard! Taper week next week could not come at a better time. I am wiped out physically and mentally. Hopefully I can take the next two weeks to give my body some rest with easy runs and shorter intervals so that come race day I am ready to kill it!

At mile 2 I wanted to go home and sleep. I don't know why I am so worn out all of a sudden. Kept running hoping to snap out of it and I did for the most part. Trying to focus on easy miles and trying to have confidence in the work I have put in. I am beginning to doubt that I can run sub 3. The pace just seems so fast. Hopefully I can surprise myself and get it done! 2:59 is my PR the fall after graduating Weber (but the race was in the pouring rain, and I know it could have been faster). Fastest post baby is when my oldest was 1 and I ran 3:19 in St. George 2010. I am 100% positive I will run my fastest post-baby marathon. So approximately 7 years since I have been in the shape I am in now.

1:51:14 overall time, 7:55 overall pace. At least half slightly uphill, but out and back course so any uphill meant a downhill on the way back.

12.09 miles long run. Cold is going around our house and I had a headache/felt dehydrated most the run. I was glad I bought a gu to try out (I know- I should have been doing this on all my long runs). It was seriously magic today. Was able to cruise through the second half of my run. Although I always gag on the gu!

1:36:51 overall time, 8:01 pace.

My new watch records steps, and thanks to trick or treating/cleaning my house I walked an additional 6 miles. I was feeling pretty worn out from it all. Hopefully I can take this coming week as a real easy recovery week and then feel strong Saturday.
